The Strangers just got the invite to play at the Lark Tavern on Friday, July 4th to help celebrate everything good about America through the magic of country blues, honytonk and sweet beer. Our friends Happy Balky and the Good Livin’ will be along for the ride, as well as, some special guests. Come on down after the fireworks at the Plaza and be sure to drink and yell alot. We like that.

The Strangers have been added to the bill for Crumbs Night Out to take place on Thursday, April 24th. This is a collaboration between Crumbs radio, which presents the best in local music on the internet and The Linda, which is WAMC’s performance venue. Also, on the bill will be Birds of Prey and Ashley Pond, who was named “Best New Solo Artist of 2007″ by Metroland.
Special thanks to Mike Guzzo (Crumbs) and Howard Glassman (the Linda) for making this event a reality and for all they do for local music. Tickets are $10, socializing begins at 7pm and music at 8pm.
Finally, don’t forget that we’ll be live on Performance Place on 90.3 FM on Friday, April 25th starting at 11:23pm. Tune in for some music and a few bad jokes and try to imagine Rick dancing like he always does.

Last Saturday night we played over at Red Square which was a great experience as always. In addition to the fantastic sound provided by High Peaks sound and seeing Francis and Tiffany again, we also received a treat in the form of a large group of Germans from a local cultural exchange program. They danced, yelled and frolicked, proving once again that Germans love David Hasselhoff ……and the Red Haired Strangers. Also, thanks to a slightly saucey Palatypus for sharing the bill with us.
